Im torn because the sushi roll, the red dragon was good. The mee crob was the bomb! Even sitting in the to go container for the short delivery time, it didn't wilt. The salmon skin hand roll was a disappointment though. 2nd time Ive ordered it and both times it was the same, ugh. It was wrapped in a parchment paper liner on the outside of the seaweed, which made it soggy and very, very greasy. I took it out of the paper right away but it was extremely fishy and tasted like old stale wet greasy fish. It could have been better and Ive had better even with delivery. So many things on this menu are great! I hate to be negative because overall my experiences have been great. I just wont order this hand-roll again. Very quick delivery and 4 stars!

Ordered take out on a Friday around 11:30. Quick service. Picked up from the back entrance. Ordered a Thai tea it was good and sweet. Got the electric eel roll it was good. The baked salmon roll was good not too over cooked just right the salmon. The crunchy spicy tuna roll wasn't spicy. Bites size fairly big. All in all good for a one time try. I did see they had the robot who takes plates to your table so that's cool.

I came here to meet up a friend who recommended the place because of the different types of (Thai and Japanese) good food they had. I was not disappointed! It seems like the restaurant is sometimes a bar, as they had a huge selection of alcohol lined up along a wall in the back section. The outside of the restaurant was somewhat misleading as it was much bigger than it seemed. We were seated in the back side, and since there weren't that many people there around 8:30 on a Saturday night - we got to choose where we sat. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. We ordered what we wanted - I got the tom yum noodle soup and a roll to share; my friend ordered a small soup (forgot what it was) and some nigiri. My noodle soup was delicious as was the roll and the nigiri. Overall, I would definitely come back to try some of the other dishes.

This is the first restaurant I've seen making use of a robot as a table runner. It basically carried dishes out to the tables and the server would unload them at the table. Not sure it is helping them much but it was fun to watch. I love that they have a full bar here, there are not a lot of Thai food or Sushi restaurants (this is the first I've come across) that have full bars. So it was fun to try fresh Thai food and sushi with some of my favorite cocktails. I've so long associated Thai food with beer and sushi with sake... I'm not sure an Old Fashioned went well with Sushi but it was fun to try anyway. All the dishes we tried were great and the space is fun has a high energy vibe to it and a fair amount of TVs with sports on so it's almost like a sports bar with Thai and Sushi.

I love Thai food and Japanese, and while I initially was sceptical of a restaurant that combined the two and still had such an expansive menu, I was hungry one night and decided to try this out - and good thing too! I love Bai Plu! It's one of my go-to Thai restaurants - in my top 3 in almost all of LA county, which says a lot. They actually listen to me when I ask for Thai spicy for their dishes. I usually get: - Pad thai: Pan fried rice noodles with egg, ground peanuts, bean sprouts and green onion. $15.99 Yellow Thai Curry: Yellow curry paste with coconut milk and potato. Spicy. $15.99 - Red Thai Curry: Red curry paste with coconut milk and bamboo shoots. Spicy. $15.99 - Green Thai Curry: Green curry paste with coconut milk, bamboo shoots, green beans and Thai eggplant. Spicy. $15.99 - Prig Khing: Stir-fried fresh green beans with Thai spicy curry paste. $15.99 - Spicy Chicken Coconut Soup (Tom Kha Goong): Spicy chicken coconut soup with mushrooms, galanga, lemongrass, lime juice and chili. $9.99 - Larb Salad: A choice of ground meat mixed with dried chili, onion, lime dressing, roasted rice powder and mint leaves, served with fresh vegetables. Spicy. $15.99 - Crying Tiger: Grilled tender beef steak slices served with spicy lime sauce, mixed with dried chili, onion, and rice powder. $16.99 - Pork Jerky: Deep-fried dehydrated pork served with special Thai spicy sauce. $15.99 Everything is fresh and when I ask them for Thai spicy (), they truly do try to make it spicy! The sushi is decent quality too, if you do want to opt for that; it's not an omakase nor a dedicated sushi place, so keep that in mind, but it is decent sushi. Service is friendly and the food comes out fast - whether you do dine-in or take-out. Ambiance is a mix - you could definitely do a romantic date night, solo dining, or a bigger get together; I believe they allow you to rent out the restaurant for private parties too. Pricing is rather fair, especially for the quantity that you get! It's cheaper than other Thai restaurants for me. I can't speak for parking as I've always walked here, but from the cursory glance I've given it, it looks like street parking, although I'm not too sure of that either.

I used to eat at Bai Plu on 7th years ago and wouldn't have noticed this location unless I was roaming. The interior is very classy and has lots of seating. I found parking easily because it's located in the Los Altos neighborhood. I ordered the Lakers Roll, Large Sapporo, and Three Hand Rolls with Spicy Tuna, Spicy Albacore, and Spicy Salmon. The service was warm and attentive!

We had another fabulous evening, the food was great, and the sushi suburb! Thank you, it was a real treat, there were 8 of us and this was the spot to hit before heading over to the Carpenter to see Lucie Arnaz perform.
